Putting our heads and hearts to work for our Georgetown neighbors
At Georgetown Health Foundation, we believe a strong community starts with good health. That's why we are putting both our heads and hearts to work for our Georgetown neighbors.
We use data to identify the biggest health gaps in our community.
Our hearts lead us to invest in local organizations that provide essential services, from prenatal care to senior support and everything in between.
The guiding principles that drive everything we do at Georgetown Health Foundation.
A Georgetown where every resident—regardless of income, background, or circumstance—has the opportunity to achieve their highest level of health and well-being, supported by a strong network of community health resources.
Since 1985, Georgetown Health Foundation has been a cornerstone of community health in Williamson County.
Georgetown Health Foundation was established in 1985 by a group of dedicated community leaders who recognized that access to quality healthcare should not depend on one's ability to pay. What began as a modest effort to help neighbors in need has grown into one of the region's most impactful health-focused philanthropies.
As Georgetown transformed from a small Texas town to one of the fastest-growing cities in America, GHF evolved to meet emerging health challenges. We expanded from direct assistance to strategic grantmaking, building a network of nonprofit partners who share our commitment to community health.
Today, GHF distributes over $7 million annually to more than 50 partner organizations. We're tackling complex issues like mental health access, senior care, childhood wellness, and social determinants of health. Our vision for tomorrow includes innovative programs to address emerging challenges like older adult homelessness.
"We believe that every person in Georgetown deserves access to quality healthcare, regardless of their circumstances. This belief has guided us for four decades and will continue to drive our work for generations to come."
— GHF Founding Members, 1985
